North Wales is a great location for a holiday but one of the most important things to consider when thinking of any holiday is what are you going to do when you're there? Fortunately there are many great attractions in North Wales from theme parks to zoos and that's not mentioning the many historic castles to explore and wonderful countryside.
One of the top attractions in North Wales is the Rhyl Sun Centre located on the promenade and easily reached from the holiday resorts of Prestatyn and Kimnel Bay. The Sun Centre is a completely indoor water attraction boasting wave pools, swimming areas, slides and rides and refreshments. It's easy to spend an entire day there and is perfect for a family with younger children.
North Wales has a number of great zoos, the Welsh Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay is a terriffic place to spend a day and has a wide number of animals on show as well as special performances and shows. The zoo is located in Colwyn Heights and is approximately one mile from the town centre. If you fancy other types of zoos have a look at the Sea Zoo on Anglesey or the Sealife Centre as Rhyl which showcase sea creatures you can find around the North Wales coast.
If funfairs and theme parks are a good day out then Greenwood Forest Park near Caernarfon is great for younger kids and young teenagers. The park focuses on the use of green technology, hence the name, and how we can all fit in with the environment. You'll find enough there to easily keep you entertained for another day.
Whatever type of attraction you're looking for in North Wales you can be sure to be able to find it.
